The Cottage

Restored by local craftsmen, the cottage provides extremely comfortable accommodation for 6 people in 3 bedrooms. Access to the front door is via attractive stone steps rising to a small terraced area with table and chairs. The entrance leads into a spacious living area with original oak beams, polished wood floors and rugs. A sofa and chairs sit by the inglenook fireplace housing a wood burner for which logs are provided. At the other end is a well equipped fitted kitchen where the dining table is positioned by French windows that open onto a small balcony overlooking the River Lot.

There are 2 bedrooms upstairs – one double and one twin room with exposed beams and comfortable beds. Between the two bedrooms there is a shower room with WC. The lower ground floor accommodation has separate access and a double-bedded room with en-suite shower and WC. There is also a utility room with a washing machine on the lower ground floor.

  • A fitted kitchen fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven and gas hob.
  • Living rooms with dining table and chairs and comfortable armchair and sofas.
  • 2 bedrooms with double beds (1 ensuite) and 1 with twin beds
  • 2 shower rooms with hand basins and WC’s.

La Ramonette has internet/WiFi, the access code will be available on arrival.

All utilities, end of stay cleaning, bed linen, towels and pool towels are included in the price.

Grounds, pool and surrounding area

Steps from the terrace lead to the 8x4m pool and upper terrace with the most stunning views of the river below. The pool is surrounded by paving has sun loungers and a covered area with table and chairs. There is ample parking.

La Ramonette is a charmingly renovated 250 year old stone cottage with traditional lauze roof tiles, particular to the area. Perched on the slopes of the ancient Le Fel vineyards in spectacular fashion, with panoramic views over the River Lot and surrounding valley, the house can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people and has a private pool. It is 5 miles from the lovely village of Entraygues-sur-Truyère and 6 miles from the hilltop village of Montsalvy.


The picturesque village of Le Fel with its two restaurants is a short drive or a 30 minutes walk through the steep vineyard terraces.   Montsalvy and Entraygues are both 9 kilometers away. In both of these small towns there are banks, shops, bakers, bars and restaurants plus weekly markets. The large towns of Aurillac and Rodez are about an hour’s drive and both offer extensive shopping, culture, restaurants and activities to suit all tastes.
